How to edit a product already in your catalog

Edit products in your rental catalog

1. Login to samurai
   samurai.newmediaretailer.com 
2. Select Productsfrom the left side navigation
   1. Select Products from the dropdown that appears
      
3. Click the blue View Products button
   
4. Use the search to find the product you'd like to edit
5. Once you find the product you'd like to edit, press the Edit button next to the product name

Update Product

1. Find the Update Product field (top left section)
2. Update any info in the Product Name, SKU, Model Number or Short Description
3. When complete, press the blue save button under the long description

Edit Categories

Remove category

1. If you'd like to remove an existing category, press the red X next to the existing category displayed
   

Add category
Products can appear in multiple categories at a time. 

1. To select categories, choose from the available categories in the upper right hand corner.
   1. If the category name is blue, you can click on it to have sub-categories appear. 
   2. When you find category you'd like to select, press the blue +Add button next to the category.
   3. You may choose to have any rental item appear in multiple categories.
      

Rental Pricing

*Rental pricing is not required, but is available should you choose to add it. 

Remove existing rental rate 

1. To remove an existing rental rate, select the red X next to the rental rate you'd like to remove
   
2. A pop up will appear, select OK to confirm

Add rental rate

1. In the product pricing field, select the green Use Rental Price Form button
   
2. Add the Rental Price
   
3. Add the Rental Duration (typically 1)
   
4. Select the interval from the Time drop down
   
5. Add any necessary price note (not required)
   
6. Press the blue Create button in order to save the rental rate
7. To add multiple rental rates, follow rental pricing steps 1-6. 

Product Photos

Remove photo

1.  To delete an existing photo, select the red X next to the photo you'd like to delete
2. A pop up will appear, select OK to confirm

Add a photo

1. Find the product photo on the manufacturer website

   1. You should only upload manufacturer photos or photos taken at your store.

      1. You are responsible for photos uploaded into Samurai, if you do not own the copyrights to a photo, you likely do not have permission to upload it. Photos should not be taken from Google, 3rd party websites or any various website if you do not have permission or copyrights. When you logged into Samurai for the first time you accepted the Social Samurai Terms of Use. 

2. Save the photo to your desktop. Save the file using a consumer friendly image name.
3. Press the green Choose Asset button
4. Drag the image from your desktop into the Drop your image here box. 
   1. You may also click inside this box to have a pop up appear and you can select the photo from there
5. Press the blue Upload button
6. Press the blue Add button
