One of the best parts of Catalyst is the massive product database in which we’ve merchandized hundreds of thousands of products. We’ll match as much of your catalog to our database as we can, but there will inevitably be items that we haven’t cataloged yet.
As a result, we made it easy for you to submit a request to our team for products that are important to you but haven’t found their way into our database yet.
Types of requests
There are two types of product requests:
- Regular requests, possible on items with the green Request button.
- SKU matching requests, a special type of request possible on items with the blue Match button. These are helpful in cases where no UPC is available.
Creating requests
-
Select the "Unmatched Products" tab in the navigation area
- To create a request, simply select the “Unmatched Products” tab on the Catalyst Dashboard. This page displays a list of items that we don’t have yet.
-
Locate the item you'd like to request
- The easiest way to do this is by searching for a product's UPC or SKU in the search bar.
-
Select the green "Request" button
- The easiest type of request to create is for products featuring the green Request button. This button indicates the item has a valid Barcode in your POS and can be requested simply by clicking the request button. You can undo it by clicking the cancel button.
When you create a request, information about that product is sent to our team for addition to our database. During that process, they’ll source high quality product information including images, descriptions, and categorization. That way, you don’t have to!
SKU matching requests
Note that SKU matching is only for products that aren’t issued with a barcode. If the product has a barcode, you’ll get better results by adding it to your POS feed and requesting it as described in section above.
There’s another type of request called SKU matching.
1. Select the blue Match button on an unmatched product.
This button indicates that the item does not have a valid Barcode in your POS, but it does have a SKU we can use to track the item.
2. Search for the item in our database.
If we have the product already, you can simply click on it. If we don’t have it, continue to the next step.
3. Select “Submit a Product Request”, complete the form, and our team will finish the rest.
Managing your requests
You can manage product requests from the Product Requests tab in the navigation menu. From here, you can set priority for your requests or remove them altogether. If our team requires feedback on one of your requests, you’ll see the request appear in the Feedback Requested section.
