When you receive an email invitation from NMR to connect your Google account, there is a suggested email address visible in the invitation. This email address is just a suggestion, you can login using a different email account to connect.
However, in many instances, the email address in the invitation is most likely already connected to an existing analytics account. If you'd like to use a different email address, you should add yourself as an admin to the existing analytics account.
If you'd prefer to launch a brand new Analytics account with the new email address, click here. Just keep in mind that any existing data from the original account will not be transferred over.
To add yourself to the original analytics account:
- Login to the original analytics account
*You made need to click the forgot password link if you do not have the login information - Once you're able to successfully login, go to google.com/analytics
- Click Sign in to Analytics
*Most likely it will automatically log you in once you click the button, but if not, login using the original email address/password - Click the Admin button in the lower left hand corner
- You should see three columns appear, the column on the left is called "Account", from that column click Account Access Management
- You will see a window appear, click the blue + round button in the upper right hand corner
- Click Add users from the dropdown
- Enter the email address you'd like to use moving forward
- Under standard roles select Administrator
- Click Add in the upper right hand corner
