Setting up a new Search Console Account

  1. Login to Google
  2. Go to Google Search Console
  3. Paste your domain into the gray Domain box on the left side - be sure to remove the https:// or and / that gets added if you paste your URL. Click continue once your URL is pasted.

  4. A box will appear with a line of code (txt record) in it, copy that code and head to your domain name provider For example, godaddy.com if that's where you purchased your domain.
  5. Paste the line of code (txt record) into the DNS configuration (see below for specific instructions)
  6. Head back to Search Console and press verify
    *Note: DNS changes may take some time to apply. If Search Console doesn’t find the record immediately, wait a day and then try to verify again
