What about live goods (plants, animals)?

Options for adding live goods to your e-commerce website

If you sell something like live reptiles that often will change depending on what you have in stock, you can take three different routes.

Departments Page Option

We can create department pages that lay out all the different types of reptile species that you have and information about those so that customers can see what is carried.

Generic "Product" in Shopify

Or, we could show them how to make a generic product on Shopify as well. For example, we carry Goldfish-with a generic picture, description, and price. This product could be set up as an informational product template so that people cannot checkout with that product, however, would be able to see it as an option while browsing the catalog.

Initial Import of Live Goods in POS

If you have a large variety of plants for example and wanted to be able to get the bulk of those up in one shot on the site. We can follow a process that will run an import for those live goods that will place a title and price on the site for them.

It is the responsibility of the client to fill in any images or descriptions that they would like for those products.

Also, further management of those products will fall to the client. If they need to remove a product, edit the pricing, or add in a new product, those are all things they would manage on their own.
