- LIGHTSPEED R TECHNICAL LIMITATION: Unfortunately, Lightspeed R does not expose a "sale price" in their POS terminal or their API. Lightspeed's API also does not associate products/items with discounts rules. As a result, retailers need to manually associate discount rules with each product that should be on sale or discounted in order for Lightspeed R customers to pass sale pricing from Lightspeed R to Shopify.
- Request a CSV from NMR with all of your current Discounts and Discount IDs. This can be retrieved from Gizmo at any time on demand.

- Create a custom field in Lightspeed titled "Discount ID" and enter your Discount IDs on each product that should be discounted.
- The example below illustrates entering a discount ID on a Fromm Adult Gold Dog Food 5lbs bag. The discount rule associated with this Discount ID is $4.00 off. When NMR retrieves this product from Lightspeed, we will calculate the $4.00 off discount rule and pass the updated price to Shopify.
NOTE: The only sale pricing types that are supported are flat dollar amount off and percentage off discounts.
- After the next hourly export from Lightspeed R to NMR, you should see the Sale Pricing reflected in Shopify
- When the sale is over and the discount should expire, Discount IDs need to be removed from each product in Lightspeed.
